The SleepGuard biofeedback headband allows you to reduce or eliminate migraines and headaches which stem from subconscious nighttime teeth clenching. In clinical trials, more than 75% of people were able to drastically reduce their nighttime clenching and associated migraines and headaches in less than a week. A few minutes of daytime practice for the first few days allows you to respond well to the biofeedback sound in your sleep without waking up.
While you sleep, SleepGuard senses tiny electronic EMG signals from your jaw clenching muscles, and it provides a gentle audio reminder to relax each time you clench. SleepGuard keeps track of the total number of times you have clenched your teeth, and the total number of seconds of clenching. You can read these numbers out of the unit in the morning to track your progress.
The SleepGuard biofeedback headband can also be worn in diagnostic (silent) mode, both to measure your baseline clenching before beginning biofeedback, and to measure effects of other things (such as different mouth guards, medications, etc.) on your nightly clenching.
